               Thubten Namgyal was born to a poor family at Nubra in Ladakh.  He remained
               with his parents until he was six years old.  At that time, he joined the school
               at his native place and studied there until he was in the Fifth Class.
               Presently, he is studying at Gomang Monastery where he is learning English.

               We request that you sponsor him by sending a monthly check for $20 (US) so
               that he can continue with his studies.  Your help will provide him with his basic
