He organized the monastery’s first tour to the United States in 1999 and invited the monks to return for a second tour. Janaki Pierson was the coordinator of the 2000-2001 USA tour. Greg Schultz was the coordinator of the 2001-2002 USA monastery tour group. Mary Pattison was the coordinator of the 2003-04 Drepung Gomang North American tour. Jennifer Harris was the coordinator of the Sacred Art of the Land of the Snows 2005 Tour. Carol Stewart coordinated the 2006-07 tour; Sue Simone is coordinating the 2008 Sacred Art Tour of the Land of the Snow Lion.
