Drepung Gomang Monastery provides its resident monks and people from the nearby villages with medical assistance through its Community Dispensary. All of the staff are monk volunteers who help everyone who comes to its doors. Dr. Sherab Gyatso is the chief medical officer of the clinic which is open to the public daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Medical consultations are free, and the charges for medicines are minimal. The continuance of this medical care is dependent entirely upon the generosity of donors. Any assistance would be gladly welcomed!

In addition, patients with serious problems may avail themselves of services from the Men-Tse Khang (Tibetan Hospital) in the Tibetan Settlement as well as the hospital located in nearby city of Hublai.
During the Kalachakra at Bodh Gaya in both
2002 and 2003, the Community Dispensary set up a medical camp at the site
of the event. Below are pictures of this temporary clinic.
